01What does AIDEN need to run?+
AIDEN is a desktop orchestrator that runs on top of your local Claude Code and/or Codex CLI. You need at least one installed and configured; AIDEN handles boards, branches, specs and agents while the CLIs handle model calls.
02Do I need both Claude Code and Codex installed?+
No, one is enough. AIDEN works with either and can route different features to different agents when both are installed.
03Where do my API keys live?+
Your keys stay where Claude Code and Codex already keep them. AIDEN never reads, copies or transmits your API keys.
04Is my code sent anywhere by AIDEN?+
No. AIDEN is a desktop app and your code stays on your machine. Only your local CLIs communicate with their own providers, exactly as they do today.
05How is AIDEN different from Cursor, Windsurf, or Copilot?+
AIDEN orchestrates your own locally-installed Claude Code and Codex CLIs, several at once, each on its own git worktree, behind a spec you approve before any code is written, all on one board. You review finished features and the pull requests they open.
06Can I use my existing repos?+
Yes. Open any local repo, clone from GitHub, or batch-import a whole stack. AIDEN maps the architecture, dependencies and conventions before agents touch a file.
07Windows and Linux support?+
