Terms of Service

Plain English Summary

AIDEN is licensed software. Free tier gives you 1 project. The Unlimited tier is a one-time payment ($99) that grants a perpetual license to the desktop core. Download it, use it, keep it. Digital goods — no refunds as a rule, but email us within 7 days and we will review your case. macOS only for now.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AIDEN, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use AIDEN. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lekiks (operated by Kylian Migot) regarding AIDEN.

2. License — Not a Sale

AIDEN is licensed to you, not sold. Lekiks retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in AIDEN. Your license is non-transferable and non-sublicensable.

Free tier

The free license grants you the right to use AIDEN on one project. No credit card required. The free tier is provided as-is with no guaranteed uptime or support SLA, though we aim to keep it working well.

Unlimited tier — one-time payment, perpetual license

Payment of the one-time Unlimited fee ($99 at current pricing) grants you a perpetual, personal license to use AIDEN's desktop core with unlimited projects. This license includes all future updates to the core desktop product released during the lifetime of AIDEN. It does not include optional cloud features, collaboration tools, or hosted services that Lekiks may offer as separate products in the future.

Your license is valid for personal and commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or sub-license AIDEN.

3. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. All prices are in USD and exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.

No refunds as a rule. AIDEN is a digital software product. Because you can download and use it immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds once you have downloaded and activated the Unlimited license.

Goodwill review within 7 days. If you are unsatisfied and contact us at support@aidenapp.org within 7 days of purchase with a clear description of the issue, we will review your request in good faith. We cannot guarantee a refund, but we will do our best to make it right.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use AIDEN to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Generate, distribute, or facilitate the creation of malware, ransomware, or other malicious software.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Engage in any activity that violates the terms of service of Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (Codex), or any other service you integrate with AIDEN.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of AIDEN.

5. Platform Requirements

AIDEN currently supports macOS 12 (Monterey) and later. Windows and Linux versions are planned but not available yet. Lekiks makes no warranty that AIDEN will be compatible with future macOS versions, though we commit to making reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility.

6. Third-Party Services

AIDEN is an orchestration layer that works with third-party CLI tools (Claude Code by Anthropic, Codex CLI by OpenAI) and services. Lekiks is not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Lekiks is not liable for the outputs generated by those services, for changes to their APIs, or for their pricing changes.

7. No Warranty

AIDEN is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Lekiks does not warrant that AIDEN will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected. You use AIDEN at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lekiks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business, arising out of or related to your use of AIDEN. Lekiks's total liability to you for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for AIDEN in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Your license terminates automatically if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete AIDEN from your devices. Lekiks may also discontinue AIDEN at any time, though we will make reasonable efforts to give paid users advance notice. Sections 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of AIDEN after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify users via the AIDEN website or the app itself.
